India’s Exports and Its impact on the Economy

Abstract

Exports play an important role of any countries business. India is one among
those countries that have been exporting a large number of products and raw
materials to other countries to earn enormous wealth. India is the 20th largest export
economy within the world and therefore the 45th most complex economy consistent
with the Economic Complexity Index (ECI). India’s overall exports in April-January
2019-20* are estimated to be US$ 446.46 billion, exhibiting a positive growth of
1.94 per cent over a year, which includes Merchandise and Services. The paper
analyzes India’s export fluctuations, reasons for the same and registers a few
solutions, where India can have a favourable Balance of Trade and a good foreign
trade.
