Abstract

Entrepreneurship refers to setting a new business to take advantages from new opportunities which
involves risk, money, innovation. Network marketing is a system which can be figured as a business
opportunity for those with limited time on their hands. It is about populace who drive to make a full-time
income at a part-time level. The drive to becoming successful in network marketing is actually an
entrepreneurial drive. Women entrepreneurs are women or groups of women, who commence, organize
and run business enterprises. They use available resources to them in creating and managing business
opportunities. It is evident from the previous studies that Women entrepreneurs are driving the globe and
shifting the numerous economies. The position and condition of women in any society is an indicator of
its civilization and progress. Network marketing is one such option that is helping the women gain access
to their own financial freedom, flexibility, variety, control and thus adds to the economic growth of the
nation.
This paper talks about the growing number of Indian women entrepreneurs through direct marketing
model. The purpose of this paper is to identify the factors that motivate women in India to become
entrepreneurs through network marketing channels (NMC).
