Project Manager Selection Using The Evaluation Based On Distance From Average Solution Approach

Abstract

Managers with knowledge, skills, and leadership are the foundation for organizational
success. In project management, project manager plays an extremely significant role in the
success of projects. The project manager organizes, leads the project team and manage the
implementation of the established project. Also, they must carry out project monitoring and
control, and compare the results of the implementation process to the requirements of the
approved plan. So, selecting a qualified project manager is a challenging problem for any firm.
This paper introduces a multi-criteria decision analysis solution for construction project
manager selection by the evaluation based on distance from the average solution approach
(EDASA). This approach is found to be objective and minimizes computation time than traditonal
approach.
