DATA PROTECTION BY SECURED AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM USING FINGER VEIN
In order to provide data protection, several techniques are being handled nowadays. Among them the
most appreciable one is finger vein based biometric recognition. This paper presents a view on the
authentication using finger vein in which the identifying factor is blood vessel pattern in the finger. Using
thisbio-cryptosystem based on fingervein, in addition to provide authentication one can also encrypt and
decrypt sensitive data. The pattern of finger vein is the most secured one, since it is hard to duplicate.
This fingervein based bio-cryptosystem uses the techniques such as image acquisition, image preprocessing, feature extraction and matching.we have used fuzzy commitment scheme to encrypt the data
with the fingervein feature.The data can be decrypted only if the data is decrypted by an authorized
person. But in the existing system anyone can encrypt and decrypt the data. Our proposed system is
highly secure to store the data.
