Relationship Between Managerial Behavior Of Principals And Job Stress Of Secondary School Teachers Of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Abstract

 The main purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between principals’ managerial behavior and job stress of secondary school teachers. A sample of 140 school heads and 274 secondary school teachers were participated in the study. A structured questionnaire was used on five point Likert scale. Questionnaire was validated by using Index of item-objective Congruence (IOC) and Cronbach’s Alpha was applied to estimate the reliability of the research tool. Pearson- Product moment correlation, linear regression and t-test was used as inferential statistics. The findings of the study reveal that negative relationship between principals’ managerial behavior and job stress of secondary school teachers. Moreover, the result indicates that female had better managerial behavior than male school heads. The study recommended that secondary school heads may improve their managerial behavior in order to reduce the stress level among teachers.
