Abstract

The Production Of Details In India Commenced With Handlooms. It Is One Of The Largest Cottage Industries In India And Occupies A Place Of Prominence In The Economic Development. The Handloom, Industry Has Been Able To, Maintain Its Own Identify By Providing Job Opportunities To People All Over The Country. Development Of Handloom Industry Is Considered As A Principal Instrument To Remove Poverty Among The Rural Poor. The Handloom Industry Has Great Potential For The Utilization Of Human Resources. So, In India, A Country With Considerable Manpower And A High Rate Of Unemployment Handloom Is A Good Source For Utilizing Idle Human Resources. It Is Generally Felt That The Handloom Industry Is Not A Healthy Industry And It Has Serious Economic, Financial And Marketing Problems. The Co-Operative Society Is To Supply Yarn For Weaving, Marketing Of Cloth Produced And Up Liftmen Of The Weaving Community. In This Problem Use Intend To Study Whether Handloom Industries Are Useful To Up Lifting Their Standard Of Living. Till This Day The Economic Conditions Of The Weavers In Senthiambalam Village Is Very Poor. So, An Analysis Of Their Socio- Economic Conditions Cause And Remedies Also Become The Part Of Problem Examined In This Study. The Survey Reveals That The Average Per Capital Consumption Expenditure Is Low. The Present Conditions Of Handlooms Weavers Is Not Satisfactory.
