Investigating the Impact of Supply Chain Process Integration on Organizational and Competitive Performance based on the Mediating Role of Supply Chain Capability

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of supply chain process integration on organizational and competitive performance with emphasis on the mediating role of supply chain capability in Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company.The research method was descriptive survey.The statistical population included all managers and senior experts of Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company in 2019, which according to the latest statistics and available information were 146 people. The sample size was determined 106 people using Cochran's formula.Sampling method wassimple random sampling. Rajagora and Matanda et al. (2019) questionnaire was usedto measure the variables used in the research. The content validity of the questionnaire has been approved by experts and the supervisor. The reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed by calculating the Cronbach's alpha coefficient.Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (structural equation model) were used for analysis the data. The findings showed that technical and cultural compatibility has a positive and direct effect on supply chain integrity, but operational compatibility does not have a significant effect on supply chain integrity.The results also showed that supply chain integration has a positive and significant effect on supply chain capabilities, and organizational and competitive performance. Finally, the results showed that supply chain capabilities have a positive and significant effect on organizational performance but do not have a significant effect on competitive performance. The results also showed the effect of organizational performance on competitive performance.
