Organisational Citizenship Behaviour And Ethical Climate: Moderating Role Of Collectivism

Abstract

The study investigates into the relationship existing between organisational citizenship behavior and ethical climate in the presence of collectivism as a moderator. The study was carried on a group of 75 employees drawn from hospitals across Odisha. The results showed that a positive and significant relationship exists between organisational citizenship behaviour and ethical climate. Collectivism or the degree to which individual is integrated into groups is as a moderator variable predicts high OCB and low conflict in individual employee. The results can be used to cultivate good OCB in employees. The extra efforts in terms of loyalty and initiatives taken are reflections on individual OCB and can be inculcated in employees by means of ethical climate.
