Principles and Methods of Investing in Geological Exploration in Subsoil Use
Abstract
The relevance of the article is devoted to the principles and methods of investing in geological exploration in subsoil use. The purpose of the article is to study investment pricing for geological exploration. The author examines the main methods of investing in geological work in the development of the field. The valuation of reserves, taking into account the forecast resources of mineral deposits and subsoil areas, is one of the important criteria for economic justification necessary for solving a wide range of issues in the field of subsoil use for all participants in this process. The determination of commercial benefits from their industrial development is recognized as the main objective of the valuation of mineral deposits and subsoil areas. The net discounted income, which is taken into consideration to determine the effectiveness and feasibility of the implementation of the developed investment projects related to the development of minerals is considered an indicator of such a valuation. The development of investment projects in accordance with current standards and methods is a very laborious and expensive process that requires taking into account many input indicators and factors of calculation and use of special computer programs. Various scenarios of changes in the efficiency of the development of hydrocarbon deposits are substantiated, depending on the principles of investment in geological exploration. The author also gives estimates of the commercial effectiveness of hydrocarbon deposits development based on unclaimed small hydrocarbon deposits are given. The basic economic principles of geological exploration for small hydrocarbon deposits in Russia have been substantiated. The considered directions for the development of unclaimed hydrocarbon deposits can be recommended for use in the raw material subjects of the Russian Federation for projects for development projects of small energy and small business in subsoil use in the regions.
