Organizational Effectiveness In Higher Educational Institutions –A Review

Abstract

India has one of the largest education systems in the world expected to witness a high growth rate, comprising over 60 % of players as private players. India is home to more than 20 universities amongst the top 200 universities in the world. Education sector as such being in limelight with the focus of the government to increase the gross enrollment ratio by 30 % up to 2020 an introduction to New Educational Policy 2019 to revamp the education sector. India’s higher education segment is expected to increase to US$ 35.03 billion by 2025 with the thrust towards FDI. Organizational effectiveness is one of the key important contributors to the success of any organization and the educational sector is no different from this parameter. Organizational effectiveness components which include efficiency, culture, ability, teamwork, performance, competency, the interest of the stakeholders and effective management lead to the achievement of the mission and objectives of the organization. The proposed to study aims to understand the role of factors contributing to increase organizational effectiveness. A comprehensive Literature review has been used to understand the role of the accreditation bodies & policies in improving organizationaleffectiveness.
