Work Family Conflict And Work Stress

Abstract

 

The purpose of this study was to determine and examine the effect of Work Family Conflict and Job Stress on Job Satisfaction and Employee Performance. This study uses quantitative methods that are used to meet research objectives other than literature review. The population of this study were all employees at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University with 122 respondents. Data were collected by means of a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using variant-based structural equation model analysis known as Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Work Family Conflict has a negative and significant effect on job satisfaction; 2) Job Stress has a negative and significant effect on job satisfaction; 3) Work Family Conflict has a negative and significant effect on Employee Performance; 4) Job stress has a negative and significant effect on employee performance; 5) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. 6) Job satisfaction is able to mediate the effect of work family conflict on employee performance; 7) Job satisfaction is able to mediate the effect of Job Stress on employee performance. The results of this study provide suggestions and input to Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University regarding efforts to improve employee performance.
