AN ASSESSMENT OF PARKING STANDARD FOR MAHATMA GANDHI ROAD, PUDUCHERRY

Abstract

In transportation system parking is a necessary factor. Parking and traffic congestion are both converse
actions taking place in an area which cause lot of issues such as accidents, irregular parking
management, argument among people etc. The rapid growth in fleet of vehicle and drastic hike in
population growth causing demand in vehicle parking because of the fewer parking space accessible in
an area. In order to overcome these difficulties a skillful management is needed so a framework is
suggested. The data are collected through an accurate method of survey and some practical solutions are
generated by implementing it.
