Adjustive Behaviour Of Teaching Professionals In Relation To Their Stress Coping Skills

Abstract

The concept of adjustment deals with establishing a satisfactory relationship with fellow individuals and the environment in which the person lives. The present study is designed to understand the nature of relationship between teaching professionals’ adjustive behaviour and their stress coping skills. The sample includes 791 teaching professionals working in colleges and universities situated in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. Two standardized and revalidated tools were used to assess teaching professionals’ adjustive behaviour and stress coping skills. Teaching professionals’ community and age were considered as variables. Results indicate a significant relationship between teaching professionals’ adjustive  behaviour  and stress coping skills.
