DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF AQUA SILENCER FOR POLLUTION CONTROL

Abstract

An aqua silencer is in which designed to replace conventional single unit engine silencers on board
structure. It reduces and control emissions in exhaust gasses of engine and noise level. Sound
produce due to working of the engine can he controlled by using water as sound produced inside the
water is less bearable than the sound produced in open air. This is mainly because of small sprockets
in water molecules which lowers its amplitude, thus lowers the sound level. Exhaust emissions are
controlled by applying a layer of activated charcoal layer of activated charcoal on perforated tube.
Activated charcoal has good absorption properties and high porous. Only the less amount of gases
passes to atmosphere and remaining are absorbed. Comparing to the normal silencer the aqua
silencer passes less amount of exhaust gasses.
