Identify Potential Indicators for Measuring Functional Resilience of Hospital Buildings
Abstract
Maintaining continuous medical care and hospital operations is essential for hospitals to be functionally resilient in the face of large casualties. Indicators of hospital resistance to environmental shocks are presented in this research. Using the collected information, the RII for each metric was calculated. Based on the results of the analysis, it is clear that "flexible design" and "access to medical functions of a hospital building" are two of the most crucial factors. Several hospitals in the Memphis, Tennessee area have implemented the model.
