Media Art as an Expression of the Turmoil of Youth

Abstract

These days, it's rare to find a kid or adolescent who isn't constantly glued to some kind of screen. Everything from films and shows to online communities and video games is included. And you can access it all on a wide variety of displays, including PCs, e-readers, game consoles, cellphones, and more. Children's emotional and social maturation are profoundly impacted by media exposure. Therefore, doctors should talk to parents about their kid's media habits and provide advice on how much time their child should spend with various forms of entertainment technology, such as radio, video games, television, and the Internet, depending on the child's age. The purpose of this statement is to examine the potential positive and negative impacts of media exposure on children's physical and mental well-being, and to provide recommendations for how doctors might advise their patients and their families on media consumption in order to foster a more positive and productive community.
