Design and Development of Realistic Motion Capture Systems for Character Animation
Abstract
The development of motion capture technology has sparked a revolution in the field of character animation. This technology enables more realistic and expressive movement in virtual environments. The purpose of this research study is to investigate the process of designing and developing motion capture systems with the intention of correctly recording and recreating the motion of human subjects. The paper provides an introduction of the various motion capture technologies, discusses the challenges of making convincing character animations, and explores the numerous components of and improvements in motion capture technology. The paper also includes a discussion of potential future paths for boosting the realism and effectiveness of motion capture systems, as well as case examples of successful implementations of these systems.
