Statistics in the Training of Students in Agricultural Science

Abstract

The implementation of a minimal core data collection, the inclusion of agriculture in national statistical systems, and steadfast efforts to increase capacity and improve e-governance of statistical activities at all levels are all examples of improving the state of statistics form the basis of the global strategy for strengthening agricultural statistics. Technical prowess and an understanding of statistical techniques are necessary for each of these three pillars. Training and education in agricultural statistics are crucial for improving the expertise of the staff members involved in these operations. Here in this chapter we describe statistical software that can be used in the field of agriculture science.
