Abstract

In this work, a microstrip patch antennas (MPA) is designed for multiband operation by etching complementary split ring resonatoron the patch. This provides three bands of operating frequencies like 2.195GHz-2.465GHz, 3.17GHz- 3.805GHz and 4.805GHz-5.610 GHz can be used forWiMAX and WLAN applications. A coaxial feeding technique is used in this paper for feeding patch. The CADFEKO 14.0software is used for simulation. A vector network analyzer (VNA) is used for the analysis of variousparameters of the proposed antenna. The simulated and experimental results are competent and much better than the otherprevious designs which will be very useful for various wireless communication applications.
