Abstract

In recent times cascaded dc-dc converters are used to increase the voltage gain. This work deals with the simulation of a single ended primary inductor converter double-lift converter system (SEPIC-DLCS) in closed loop mode. A T-filter is introduced at the output side to reduce output voltage ripple. The prime objective of this work is to obtain a good regulated dc output voltage. Simulation studies are performed using Matlab Simulink models developed for proportional integral (PI), proportional integral derivative (PID), fractional order proportional integral derivative (FOPID), hysteretic controller (HC) and fuzzy controlled (FC) closed loop SEPIC-DLCS. Simulation results are compared and comparative results indicate the superior performance of fuzzy controlled system and therefore it is a viable alternative for the existing dc-dc converters.
