Role of Big Data as a Tool for Improving Sustainability for the Betterment of Quality of Life in Metro Cities

Abstract

In today’s scenario, all the countries are trying to convert their metro cities in to Smart Cities. Big Data is playing a major role in performing this transformation. The basic use of using this Big Data in metro cities is to convert these cities into smart cities and improve sustainability and further increase the quality of life and living standards. So in this paper , the main focus is on how big data works in big cities, what are the major challenges for converting metro cities into smart cities and what are the various solutions available that can be applied in this conversion. Further this paper also reveals a reference model that can be used in this transformation process.
