Abstract

As we know that, power quality issues are the major concern in case of distribution grid. These paper proposes a photovoltaic energy conversion system (PvECS) interconnected to the three phase four wire (3Ph-4W) distribution grid with the ability to transfer active power to the load and mitigation of power quality issues. The PvECS with voltage source inverter (VSI) provides power to the grid and load from sunrise to sunset. After sunset voltage source inverter (VSI) act as a shunt active power filter. A three phase (PLL) phase lock loop with moving average filter (MAF) Decoupled DSRF is employed to extract fundamental component. It not only supplies active power but also reduces harmonics and balances the grid current. The photovoltaic energy conversion system (PvECS) supplies power to single and three phase load simultaneously unlike conventional PV system. Perturb and observe method is implemented for tracking maximum power. To reveal its fruitfulness, simulation is carried out on Matlab environment.
