Gateway Monitoring Using Open WRT

Abstract

It’s necessary for a network administrator to monitor the network regularly. Irregular monitoring might lead to overload or failure of network. Gateway is the checkpoint from where network is distributed i.e. router. Monitoring of kernel log, process log, system log, CPU usage and Memory usage in regular interval of time helps in diagnosis of gateway properly. We are monitoring the gateway through Open-WRT which is an open source operating system. The performance data are collected dynamically and stored in the cloud server. The stored data are updated directly to the Mobile application and web dashboard that can be accessed by the administrator from anywhere. Which helps in effective monitoring of data in real time and rectify the issues instantly.
