Developments Shuttle Based Storage and Retrieval System Current and Future

Abstract

The shuttle-based automated storage and retrieval system (SBS/RS) is considered a new system in automated material storage system. The performance of this new system is claimed to be more efficient compared to existing crane-based system. This paper presents a broad explanation of the new system physical design, system operation and control, and system performance evaluation. The objective is to discover the possible future research in the design and control of the SBS/RS. The construction of this paper is based on the review made from many sources such as scholar articles, white papers, and textbooks. Generally, it is observed that there is enormous improvement study can be upraised for the system. This paper suggests the long and short-term strategy for future work
