Seismic Analysis of Multi-storey Building with and without Floating Column and Shear Wall using STADD Pro Software

Abstract

In a Modern Era, for the purpose of parking & free space, engineering deals with the floating column to avoid un interruption due to the column on ground floor which occupy more space. As we sometime needed for the conference halls, showrooms & functional requirements to fulfill these purpose, buildings are provided with floating column at one or more storey.

The purpose of the current work is to analyze the behavior of floating column with flat slab & shear wall on the high-rise building. For this purpose, existing commercial building comprising of G+10 under seismic forces has been selected for carrying out the project work & also the building analyzed for moments and Stresses using STADD Pro Software
