Abstract

This case study entails to analyze different pollutant indications (in micrograms per cubic meter) in various highly polluting regions of metropolitan cities of New Delhi and Mumbai. The case study works as a inter-city as well as intra-city (region wise) comparison of Delhi and Mumbai. Through public data analysis of various pollutant indicator values at the two cities, it is observed that selected regions of Delhi have more amount of such pollutant indication (PM2.5, PM10, NO2, Ozone and CO) that selected regions of Mumbai. The case study also analyzes pollutant indication levels in the mentioned regions of the two cities during pre-Covid 19 and during Covid-19 situation. The observation entails that the pollutant indication levels have drastically decreased during the global pandemic.
