Abstract

This study aims to fill in a research report that discusses export product fit development that will
mediate network capability and international business experience with the international performance
of MSMEs. The population in this study is the owner and manager of the MSME creative industry
sector of the craft and fashion sub-sector who have made overseas sales (exports) in Central Java
Province in 2019. The number of research samples is 177 craft and fashion MSMEs. The number of
samples is determined by looking at the minimum sample size requirements in the SEM (Structural
Equation Modeling) analysis which is a data analysis method in this study. Hypothesis testing results
show that network capability is not positive on international performance, international business
experience has a positive effect on international performance, network capability has a positive effect
on export product fit development, international business experience has no positive effect on export
product fit development, export product fit development is positive on international performance,
export product fit development mediates the causal relationship between network capability and
international performance, and export product fit development does not mediate the causal
relationship between international business experience and international performance.
