Sibyllic of Intention Towards Internet Banking Adoption (IBA): An Empirical Study After Demonetization in India

Abstract

The purpose of the current study is to identify the variables which impact intention of internet users to adopt internet banking. For the purpose of the study data was collected from the 2000 respondents through online survey. All respondents are above 18 years and having at least one bank account. They are active internet users and are aware of internet banking. Data was collected through a questionnaire and item were adopted from the past studies. Further reliability and validity of the research instrument were measured though Cronbach’s alpha, KMO and result shows a value of both within the acceptable range. Thus after validation of reliability and validity, pre-pilot study was conducted followed by final data collection.  Hypothesis was accepted, and finally it’s concluded that among all the construct, trust is the strongest predictor of intention and risk shows a negative significant impact on intention to adopt internet banking.
