Awareness and Readiness for Green Products: Eyeing from Generation Y’s Lens

Abstract

 Environmental issue is becoming a serious concern nowadays as almost every country’s government and most of the business houses have started to be more aware about these sizzling issues. As a result business houses are on the path of modifying their practices so as to contribute and work towards issues concerning the environment. Our country India is loaded with Youths and presently relies upon them in all crucial areas of development. Now, a question arises here that though both government and companies are doing their best to make the environment hygienic then, are the Youths ready to accept green product? Even if they are ready to accept then are they adequately aware about Green product? So, the researcher’s interest is to know the awareness level and Readiness of Generation Y for Green Products in the state of Assam. To fulfill the objective of the paper, the researcher will approach 200 youths from different places of Assam. Probability method will be used where the respondents will be selected by adopting random sampling method and the data will be collected through a structured questionnaire. This paper will assist the readers in understanding the Youths’ notion about Green Products in Assam and will give a glimpse of their demeanor towards Green Products.
