Abstract

The article is devoted to explaining metaphorical conceptualization in the Uzbek language and describing conceptual metaphorical models. The essence of the article is to study the peculiaritiyes of poyetic metaphor and its role in the formation of modern poyetic world, to consider the semantic and stylistic features of metaphor in the Uzbek poyetry of the XX century, to identify cognitive metaphoric models of meaning formation in poyetic texts. Considering that a number of aspects of the nature of metaphors remain unexplored in the development of linguistic theoriyes, the following study seyems to be topical. Due to the interest in the essence of the spoken metaphor, the poyetic metaphor was neglected and was not properly illuminated in linguistics from the point of viyew of modern trends.  The article also draws attention to the linguophilosophical works of anciyent and mediyeval thinkers and the main trends in the development of metaphorical theoriyes in modern linguistic works, to determine the position of metaphors in the system of figurative means of language. The practical value of the work is determined by the results obtained in the training courses on Stylistics, poyetic text interpretation, as well as the possibility of using the Uzbek language in teaching practice.
