Abstract

Rain water harvesting done nowadays in many ways but we need to come up with a better solution to rain water harvesting so as to save the human energy and time as well. The project idea provides an efficient way to save most amount of water which can be used for agriculture as well as household purposes. In this project we have used the following sensors which are soil moisture sensor, water level sensor, proximity sensor, soil temperature sensor, pH sensor. The project includes a small portion of farm land which is divided into 10 parts of 1 acre each and every two portions share a small pit for the extraction of excessive water.Near the farm land there is a common pond for the storage of excessive water and this pond is shared by the whole 10 acre field. The pond is made near to the field in which the water is transferred from the field and then from pit the cleared water is sent to the main pond from the which the water is motored back when needed. The nutrients of the soil also play an important role so side by side the nutrients of soil is monitored and sent to the user with the help of which the user will get updated about the nutrients and can fertilize the land accordingly.
