Organizational Commitment and Interpersonal Relationship among Library and Information Science Professionals of Higher Education in Tamilnadu State, India: A Study

Abstract

This article illustrates a special study with emphasis offer quency of the reason for organizational commitment and interpersonal relationship among library information and science professionals of higher education in Tamilnadu state college library, India. The researcher has distributed 230 questionnaires and 221 sample responses were selected. It is found that majority of the respondents opinioned with professionals other librarians on consultation. Majority of the respondents have opinioned with ‘VENDOR’ on cooperation and ‘USER’ on behavior. Perhaps as challenging as developing the kinds of programs and policies that encourage commitment development in the first place is finding ways to help ensure that members sustain a positive, enthusiastic outlook towards organizational goals and pursuits.
