Abstract

To reduce the search space in indexing, ontology is used in indexing on Information Retrieval system. Ontology deals with for better understanding by conceptual meaning. There are few modules used here for to reduce the search space, the very first is multithreaded downloader. It is used for here downloading the web contents. Then webpage repository used for having bulk of related web pages with various backend webpage developer languages. Then it has indexing module which has collection of related documents through representation of text. There are various steps given for indexing module to describe the conversions based on ontology. The last query interface describes about the input given through query and the output taken by the user. The main concept proposed here is the OCR technique (Optical Character Recognition). OCR technique is nothing but it finds the differences between the typed and handwritten documents either from the physical hard copy or from the scanned physical documents.
