Abstract

As an exercise of Reactive power Analysis, monitoring was initiated in one of the leading steel industry to understand the effects of reactive power consumption such as low PF harmonics and unbalance presence in the system. Our main aim of the study was to understand the impact of reactive power, Harmonics on the unbalanced system apart from over all safety of the distributions System.Emphasis was given to understand the Harmonic levels and its effects on Electrical Distributions System. We must make REACTIVE POWER = 0 to utilise the system 100% efficient, but there is no system in the world without any losses in it. Anyhow we will make it more and more efficicent with the help of our additional equipments supported to the system. With a motive to conserve Energy and to avoid wastage of Natural Resources and to promote Energy Savings we move on it.
