Abstract

Career is one of life's essential choice one has to make. Choosing a career, based on our best skills is also the key to achieving success and contentment. Over the past few years several systems have been built to help students select the right career path by predicting the best career option based on their academic factors. However, academic factors are not the only relevant factor, we do need to consider one's cognitive abilities and psychometric factors too; such as, speed, learning capacity, endurance and memory to achieve the best career outcomes. However, in order to develop a system that will predict one’s career based on both academic and psychometric factors we need to select a classification algorithm like SVM (Support Vector Machine) that will provide the best accuracy rate. We also need to support this system with a strong dataset structure. Apart from this we need to develop a frontend structure that should support the 8-puzzle game, should be well integrated with the backend and also display the output. This paper thus proposes a framework that considers both academic and psychometric factors for predicting one's career accurately.
