Performance Analysis of Radio over Fiber with ODSB and OSSB modulation techniques using ASK, 64QAM and 8DPSK data.
Today, Radio over Fiber is a proven technology to cater the demands of enormous bandwidth and wide and consistent coverage of the customers. In this paper, the behavior and transmission performance of the RoF link in IM-DD configuration is analyzed, with the simulation set up on OptiSystem. The 64QAM modulation format with ODSB technique and 8 DPSK modulation format with OSSB technique is analyzed by studying the impact of chromatic dispersion and ultimately the transmission distance. It is observed that the transmission distance of RoF link could be increased up to 200 km by using OSSB in comparison to the distance of 100 km of ODSB that is just double.
