Integral Sliding Mode Fuzzy Wavelet Network Based MPPT Control of Photovoltaic Pumping System under Variable Atmospheric Conditions

Abstract

This paper present a robust Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control of a boost converter for a photovoltaic pumping system under varying irradiationand temperature conditions.The proposed approach combines the integral sliding mode control(ISCM)with fuzzy wavelet network(FWN). The FWN is used to predictthe unknown part of the PV pumping system model, this allows the improvement of the nominal model despite the presence of large uncertainties, while theISMC is used to achieve the robust tracking with a small switching gain.The proposed control techniqueis applied on a PV pumping systemand compared with theclassical ISMCcontrol method and its performance is validated through simulations.
