A Study on Mathematical Abilities of Primary School Students in Sivagangai Educational District
In this paper the investigator emphasis the level of mathematical skills. Mathematics is a vital portion of ordinary life. Consequently, the rejection of its important teaching to a contemporary inhabitant willpower a countless abled for him. Arithmetic will halt obligatory during the required and universal teaching. The investigation has espoused the survey method to mathematical abilities for Primary School Students in Sivagangai Educational District. Mathematical ability Questionnaire developed by Investigator (2019). The questionnaire consists of 36 items among them 16 are positive items and 10 are negative items. Each item has 4 alternatives options. the reliability of the test-retest method was employed. the correlation coefficient ‘r’ was calculated and it was found out to be 0.672. The population for the present study is only for Primary School Learners. The researcher has taken the Stratified sampling technique. Ten schools in Sivagangai Educational District have randomly selected 300 samples. no significant difference between the demographical flexibility of the learners.
