Abstract

Structural Health Monitoring is playing a major role in monitoring and assessment of damages in the structure to avoid the major losses in terms of life and property. The most advanced method in structural health monitoring for non destructive evaluation is by using miniaturized Impedance chip because of its small size, less cost, easily deployable and accurate as well. The specimens of the structure in this study are metal sheet and pipeline. With the help of piezo sensors and impedance chip, root mean square voltage deviations are measured to detect damage in the structure. The results indicate that this proposed method is highly reliable in detecting the damages in the metal plate and pipelines.
