Static and Dynamic Analysis of Multistoried Structure by Staad Pro
Abstract
This paper analyses G+9 multi-storied structure which consists of 4 bays along X and Z direction each of 5m respectively in India by taking reference from the IS 857 Part II-1987 and IS 1893 Part I-2002 for the seismic zone IV . Methods such as static equivalent lateral force and response spectrum have been taken for analyzing the structure. STAAD Pro software is used for the analysis for beams, columns and footings followed by the calculation of the seismic weight and base shear for each floor and also the values are calculated and checked by proceeding manual calculation. The value for beam stresses is found to be 40-50% higher in dynamic analysis as compared to the values of static analysis and also the nodal displacement of the column is found to be 78% higher in dynamic analysis.
