Abstract

Background: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a condition characterized by carbohydrate intolerance with the onset or first recognition during pregnancy. The present study was conducted to assess gestational diabetes mellitus and pregnancy outcome at tertiary care centre of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad.

Materials & Methods: The present study was conducted in the department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. It comprised of 45 pregnant women with history of GDM. Equal number of control was also included. Maternal and fetal outcome parameters were evaluated.
