Quality Assurance Indices And Academic Staff Productivity In Colleges Of Education In Cross River State, Nigeria
The study was conceived to examine the relationship between quality assurance indices and academic staff productivity in colleges of education in Cross River Sate. Two research questions and null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Correlation research design was adopted for the study. Four hundred and fifty (450) academic staff in the two colleges of education in the state were all selected and used in the study through census sampling technique. An instrument titled “Quality Assurance Indices and Academic Staff Productivity Questionnaire (QAIASPQ) was used to collect data. Pearson’s product moment correlation analysis was used to analyze the data. The result of the analysis revealed that there is a significant relationship between quality assurance indices and academic staff productivity. Based on the findings, the study recommends for adequate provision and effective utilization of instructional materials and information and communication technology to enhance academic staff productivity.
