Reliability Analysis of a Power Plant Using the Boolean Function Expansion Algorithm
Abstract
In the present paper, we mainly focused on analyzing reliability of a complex system with common failures and human errors are discussed. Our emphasis on complex system consists of five generators associated in parallel. G1, G2, G3, G4 and G5 representing the generators which are associated with two way primary switches MSB1, MSB2, MSB3, MSB4 and MSB5 respectively by perfectly reliable cable. A cable C6 connects MSB1, MSB2, a cable C7 connects MSB2, MSB3 and a cable C8 connects MSB3, MSB4. Further, cables C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5 are connect to the two way switch MSB1 to output main switch OPMS5, two way switch MSB2 to output main switch OPMS6, two way switch MSB3 to output switch OPMS6 and two way switch MSB4 to output switch OPMS6 respectively. Mainly system is to supply power generated by G1, G2, G3, G4 and G5 to consumers. This will help us to estimate the reliability of the power supply generated from OPMS6 using Boolean Function Expansion Algorithm (BFAE). Here we noted that the failure time occurs due to the arbitrary time distribution of various components.
