Design of new Improved Isolation 3D MIMO Antenna System for Wireless Applications

Abstract

A new 3D two element micro strip patch antenna is operating in dual bands from(4.4GHz to 4.6GHz) i.e. band1and (5.9GHz to 6.3GHz) i.e. band2. For application of wireless the proposed antenna is designed and it is operating at C-band (4 GHz to 6GHz). The antenna resonating at 6.1GHz frequency in band2. To decrease the mutual coupling in the Multiple Inputs and Multiple Outputs (MIMO) system an effective new method is proposed in terms of shape. Using this, the mutual coupling is decreased to -40dB in order to increasing the isolation in the frequency of operating band. The antenna is giving -23dB return loss (S11). Furthermore, parameters like radiation pattern, electric field distribution and total gain of the system are investigated. Therefore the anticipated 3D 2X2 MIMO antenna is useful for C-band (4-8GHz) applications such as Wi-Fi, cordless phones, radars and satellite communications.
