Improvement the Quality of Carpet Industry by Using Statistical and Six Sigma Methodology
Abstract
In this work, using the process of six sigma that creates a model, it leads to improve the quality of the carpet. This problem of the research limited in one of the most important customer-requested from the company to rent an external laboratory to re-test the product before delivering. The contribution of Six-Sigma in the research led to analysis the root cause of the study problem in a limited time, increase the Number of Distinct Categories (ndc.) from 1 to be 24 and minimize the difference between repeatability and reproducibility. As a result of these above conclusions, the measurement system became acceptable and reliable instead.
