Abstract

These days IOT becomes a very important part of society. IOT manages their hands in all the areas like transportation, health, security, surveillance, weather monitoring and many more. The increased number of domains generates large amount of data and it becomes difficult to protect data against attacker. Security is required for all the data transmitted over IoT network against unauthorized access, attacks etc. One more issue with IoT is it slows power and low battery. However it becomes difficult to use traditional cryptographic approach for preventing data integrity and data privacy against attack. To overcome these issues, number of symmetric and asymmetric light weight encryption techniques has been introduced in last some years. In this paper, author proposes various light weight encryption techniques and their pros and cons in IoT network. The analysis has been done on the basis of block size, key size, internal design structure etc. Finally, the discussed security schemes prove their significance for resource constrained devices.
