Dual Band Microstrip Antenna for Applications at 3.9 GHz and 11GHz

Abstract

This paper recommends a small size stepped rectangular patch antenna for two bands operation with two vertical stubs connected on each side. The suggested antenna comprises of stepped rectangular radiating element and ground plane with full copper coating. The measurements of this antenna are 12 x 24 x 1.6 mm3 and microstrip feed line is used. The simulated S11 parameters, VSWR and impedance parameters are fairly related to each other. The simulated antenna operates at 3.9 and 11GHz frequency range below -10dB. The recommended antenna is suitable for applications at 3.9 GHz and 11 GHz.
