Abstract

The electricity is a type of energy that is used to make heat, light, and power to work some machines, etc It is an important factor.

In India twenty to forty percent of the power generated is utilized for lighting the streets. Street lights are turned on in the evening and burns all night and some times in the morning too, which results in the wastage of the amount of electricity. As India is a third world country, we can save electricity and use it for various other useful purposes. Saving energy is an important factor as enormous the energy resources are getting depleting day by day.

Thus saving energy as our main motto we proposed “Smart Street Light System using IoT" that is cost-effective and eco-friendly. Thus thereby saving the energy used for burning the street lights.

We are using an IR sensor that detects moving objects and LDR sensors that are light-sensitive devices, the street lights are turned on after the sunset, But brightness is less whenever the pedestrians or vehicles arrive at the brightness of the light increases.
