Performance Analysis of a System with Two Units Combined Hardware-software Failures
Extremely reliable hardware and software systems are required to meet contemporary requirements. The presented paper is about performance and modeling of a stochastic system of two units includes one standby unit with software and hardware failures. The System proceeds to degradation, if original unit undergoes hardware or software failure. Then standby unit act as operative unit. The operational unit is the original unit repair only after partial to complete failure while in standby unit is waiting for repair. The RPGT approach and semi-markov process are applied to get the measure of the system performance parameters facilely and expeditiously. The various conclusions have been extracted with the help of the graphical study.
