Monitoring Of Transformer And Generator Using Iot

Abstract

In high energy power systems, the transformer and generator plays an indispensable role in the generation of power and transferring the electricity after boosting it. Internet of Things is used for remotely observing the condition of transformer and generator. The disruption in the smooth transfer of power can be avoided by monitoring the most important parameters which helps in the proper prolongation of the transformer and generator. Various enactments are made for supervising different parameters of transformer and generator, but it increased the cost and size of the system. In proposed method, Internet of Things helps in real-time tracking of certain parameters like fuel level, temperature, voltage, oil level and current. The generator and transformer are monitored by imparting various sensors on it. The information is updated to the server via Wi-Fi module. If any abnormality is detected, the relay will move to open state and the information is posted in the server via Wi-Fi. LCD displays information
